Dr. Aqeel Ahmed Khan, MD

C.E.O and Psychiatrist

Dr. Aqeel A. Khan is a double board-certified psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience providing inpatient, outpatient, and telepsychiatry services across hospitals, nursing homes, and residential treatment centers. He serves as the Chief Psychiatrist and Medical Director at Advance Psychiatry & Counseling, where he specializes in general psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, and addiction medicine. Dr. Khan has held leadership roles in multiple hospitals and behavioral health programs, supervised nurse practitioners, and taught medical and nursing students from various institutions. His extensive clinical background includes expertise in complex psychiatric conditions, Suboxone treatment, and consultation-liaison psychiatry. He is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to patients across all levels of treatment

Known for her leadership, teaching ability, and critical thinking, she fosters a therapeutic environment grounded in empathy, respect, and clinical excellence.

Philomina Toni is a dual-certified Doctor of Nursing Practice and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with years of experience diagnosing, treating, and managing mental health and primary care conditions. She delivers comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and individualized treatment plans with a strong commitment to evidence-based and holistic care. Since 2017, Philomina has served as a nurse practitioner at Advance Psychiatry & Counseling treating a wide range of psychiatric disorders and substance use conditions in outpatient, ADAPT, and long-term care settings. She also has extensive experience in geriatric medicine managing acute and chronic illnesses, advanced illness, chronic respiratory failure, end-of-life care, and long-term care planning. She is known for her strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and her ability to build rapport with patients and families across all levels of healthcare.
